In their opening game, Christensen lost 7-3 to Craig Brown (Madison, WI), droppimg another game, 8-1 to Peter Stolt (St. Paul, MN) where Christensen responded with a 6-5 win over Stephen Dropkin (Saint Paul, MN). Christensen went on to lose 8-1 against Alexandra Carlson (St Paul, MN). Christensen lost 5-1 to Minnesota's Pete Fenson in their final qualifying round match.
