McCormick finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCormick defeated Sarah Anderson (Philadelphia, PA) 9-6, then won 8-1 against Todd Birr (Coon Rapids, MN). McCormick went on to lose 7-4 against Scott Ramsay (winnipeg, MB). McCormick responded with a 10-2 win over Ryan Berg (West Fargo, ND). McCormick won 5-3 against Courtney George (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
McCormick earned 2.325 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the FSCC U.S. Open of Curling. McCormick move up 6 spots after posting a net gain of 3.875 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 63rd overall with 27.470 total points on the World Ranking Standings. McCormick ranks 57th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.125 points earned so far this season.
