Dropkin finished 3-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dropkin lost 6-4 to Minnesota's Dale Gibbs, then responded with a 4-3 win over Ryan Berg (West Fargo, ND). Dropkin won 6-5 against Ryan Lemke (Medford, WI), then won 6-4 against Real Fournier (Minneapolis, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the FSCC Early Cash, Dropkin take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $2,056CDN prize, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 89th place overall with 10.526 total points.
