In their opening game, Smith-Dacey lost 5-4 to Mary-Anne Arsenault (Halifax, NS), then responded with a 7-4 win over Nancy McConnery (Dartmouth, NS). Smith-Dacey won 9-5 against Anne Dillon (Halifax, NS), then won 6-3 against Coralie Duchemin (Sydney, NS) and 7-3 against Colleen Pinkney (Truro, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Dave Jones Molson Mayflower Cashspiel Championship title, Smith-Dacey earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $2,200CDN first prize cheque, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 59th place overall with 16.629 total points.
