Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN) finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stjerne lost 6-3 to Alexey Timofeev (Moscow, RUS), then responded with a 10-4 win over Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE). Stjerne won 5-3 against Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN), then won 10-9 against Aku Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN) and 6-1 against Alexander Baumann (Hamburg, GER). Stjerne won 7-3 against Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED), then won 8-3 against Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Olympic Qualification Event Championship title, Stjerne earned 34.215 world rankings points. For week 18 of the event schedule, Stjerne did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Stjerne ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
