To advance to the championship game, Picton won 8-3 over Kristy Russell (Elora , ON) in the semifinals   of the 2013 CookstownCash presented by Comco Canada Inc in Cookstown, Ontario, Canada; 
 
Picton finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Picton defeated Ontario's Hollie Nicol 8-7, then won 6-4 against Jacqueline Harrison (Brantford, ON) and 9-4 against Heather Carr Olmstead (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the CookstownCash presented by Comco Canada Inc, Picton take home 2.100 world rankings points along with the $1,200CDN prize, moving up 167 spots the World Ranking Standings into 149th place overall with 2.100 total points. Picton ranks 93rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.100 points earned so far this season.
