To advance to the championship game, Ontario's Scott McDonald won 5-2 over Aaron Squires (St. Thomas , ON) in the semifinals of the 2013 Huron ReproGraphics Oil Heritage Classic in Sarnia, Ontario; and won 8-7 over Greg Balsdon (Toronto, ON) in the quarterfinals.
Ontario's Scott McDonald finished 5-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ontario's Scott McDonald defeated John Young Jr. (Chatham , ON) 6-5, then went on to lose 1-0 against Josh Johnston (Toronto, ON). Ontario's Scott McDonald responded with a 1-0 win over Jay Young (Sarnia, ON). Ontario's Scott McDonald won 1-0 against Ontario's Mike Aprile. Ontario's Scott McDonald went on to lose 7-4 against Heath McCormick (New York, NY). Ontario's Scott McDonald responded with a 7-4 win over Ontario's Joe Frans. Ontario's Scott McDonald won 4-1 against Ontario's Craig Van Ymeren in their final qualifying round match.
