John Shuster (Duluth, MN) finished 6-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Shuster defeated Brady Clark (Lynnwood, WA) 10-4, then won 6-5 against Heath McCormick (New York, NY) and 8-5 against Tyler George (Duluth, MN). Shuster went on to lose 8-5 against Pete Fenson (Bemidji, MN). Shuster responded with a 7-2 win over Clark. Shuster went on to lose 8-7 against McCormick. Shuster responded with a 7-5 win over George. Shuster won 4-3 against Fenson in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the 2014 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Curling Championship title, Shuster earned 12.500 world rankings points, remaining in 29th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 67.925 total points. Shuster ranks 26th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 30.625 points earned so far this season.
