John Morris (Vernon, BC) lost 7-4 to Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, ON) in the Final of the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings, held December 1 - 8, 2013 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. To advance to the championship game, Morris won 7-5 over Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2013 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings in Winnipeg, Manitoba;

Morris finished 4-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Morris defeated Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON) 8-6, then won 6-4 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) and 11-5 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB). Morris went on to lose 7-5 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Morris lost 8-6 to Jacobs where Morris responded with a 7-6 win over John Epping (Toronto, ON). Morris went on to lose 7-6 against Martin in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings, Morris take home 35.000 world rankings points, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 9th place overall with 220.213 total points. Morris ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 104.100 points earned so far this season.
