Shen lost 7-6 to Jeff Richard (Kelowna, BC) where Shen responded with a 8-6 win over Brad Thompson (Kamloops, BC). Shen went on to lose 6-3 against Trevor Perepolkin (Vernon, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
