To advance to the championship game, Ogasawara won 8-5 over Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2013 Kamloops Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada; and won 6-5 over Allison MacInnes (Kamloops, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2013 Kamloops Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada;
Ogasawara finished 3-1 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ogasawara defeated Marilou Richter (New Westminster, BC) 10-2, then won 7-6 against Lene Nielsen (Hvidovre, DEN). Ogasawara went on to lose 7-6 against MacInnes. Ogasawara responded with a 8-3 win over Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Kamloops Crown of Curling, Ogasawara take home 6.650 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN prize, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 44th place overall with 21.956 total points. Ogasawara ranks 31st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.650 points earned so far this season.
