To advance to the championship game, Bottcher won 10-1 over Thomas Scoffin (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2013 Spruce Grove Cashspiel in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada; and won 6-0 over Tom Appelman (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2013 Spruce Grove Cashspiel in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada;
 
Bottcher finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Alberta's Steven Andrews 7-4, then won 6-4 against Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong, KOR) and 3-2 against Les Steuber (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Spruce Grove Cashspiel Championship title, Bottcher earned 6.250 world rankings points along with the $2,700CDN first prize cheque. For week 15 of the event schedule, Bottcher did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Bottcher ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
