Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN) won 5-2 over Bruce Korte (Saskatoon, SK) in the Final of the Weatherford Curling Classic, held November 29 - December 2, 2013 at the Estevan Curling Club in Estevan, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Liu won 5-4 over Scott Manners (North Battleford, SK) in the semifinals of the 2013 Weatherford Curling Classic in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 3-1 over Randy Woytowich (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals.

Liu finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Liu lost 2-1 to Brent Gedak (Estevan, SK), then responded with a 9-3 win over Brad Heidt (Kerrobert, SK). Liu won 6-4 against Scott Bitz (Regina, SK), then won 8-3 against Manners in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Weatherford Curling Classic Championship title, Liu earned 10.200 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque, dropping 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 16th place overall with 134.480 total points. Liu ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 67.550 points earned so far this season.
