Barb Spencer (Winnipeg, MB) won 3-2 over Michele Jaggi (Bern, SUI) in the Final of the DEKALB Superspiel, held November 21 - 24, 2013 at the Morris Curling Club in Morris, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Spencer won 6-5 over Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2013 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada; and won 6-5 over Kim Link (East St. Paul, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2013 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada;
Spencer finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Spencer defeated Lisa Menard (Dauphin, MB) 7-2, then won 7-6 against Manitoba's Kate Cameron and 3-2 against Joelle Brown (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the DEKALB Superspiel Championship title, Spencer earned 6.500 world rankings points along with the $8,400CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 25th place overall with 68.748 total points. Spencer ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 31.500 points earned so far this season.
