Hill finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hill defeated Kevin Park (Edmonton, AB) 5-1, then went on to lose 7-2 against Wade Scoffin (Whitehorse, YK). Hill responded with a 7-2 win over Robert Schlender (Airdrie, AB). Hill won 10-7 against Nolan Reid (Victoria, BC), then won 8-5 against Dean Joanisse (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Hill earned 2.750 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Original 16 WCT Bonspiel, moving up 42 spots the World Ranking Standings into 153rd place overall with 5.625 total points. Hill ranks 96th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.375 points earned so far this season.
