Martin went on to lose 6-3 against Matt Willerton (Edmonton, AB). Martin responded with a 6-4 win over Chris Baier (Victoria, BC). Martin went on to lose 9-5 against Tom Appelman (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
