Brian Lewis (Ottawa, ON) qualified for the 2013 Challenge Chateau Cartier de Gatineau playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Jean-Michel Menard (Gatineau, PQ).

Lewis finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lewis defeated Spencer Cooper (Ottawa, ON) 8-3, then won 7-6 against Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) and 7-5 against Howard Rajala (Ottawa, ON). Lewis went on to lose 4-2 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Lewis responded with a 8-5 win over Richard Daneault (Winnipeg, MB). Lewis went on to lose 8-1 against Bryan Cochrane (Ottawa, ON). Lewis responded with a 7-2 win over Wayne Tuck Jr. (Brantford, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Lewis earned 9.425 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Challenge Chateau Cartier de Gatineau, moving up 378 spots the World Ranking Standings into 106th place overall with 9.425 total points. Lewis ranks 53rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.425 points earned so far this season.
