Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) won 8-0 over Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI) in the Final of the Cactus Pheasant Classic, held October 24 - 27, 2013 in Brooks, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, McEwen won 8-1 over Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2013 Cactus Pheasant Classic in Brooks, Alberta; and won 5-3 over Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2013 Cactus Pheasant Classic in Brooks, Alberta;

McEwen finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEwen defeated Gustav Eskilsson (Skelleftea, SWE) 8-4, then won 4-3 against Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC) and 8-2 against Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Cactus Pheasant Classic Championship title, McEwen earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $22,000CDN first prize cheque.
