Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) won 8-0 over Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI) in the Final of the Cactus Pheasant Classic, held October 24 - 27, 2013 in Brooks, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, McEwen won 8-1 over Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2013 Cactus Pheasant Classic in Brooks, Alberta; and won 5-3 over Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2013 Cactus Pheasant Classic in Brooks, Alberta;

McEwen finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEwen defeated Gustav Eskilsson (Skelleftea, SWE) 8-4, then won 4-3 against Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC) and 8-2 against Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Cactus Pheasant Classic Championship title, McEwen earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $22,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 11 of the event schedule, McEwen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. McEwen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
