Michel finished 9-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Michel defeated Mario Freiberger (Zug, SUI) 7-3, then went on to lose 7-4 against Peter de Cruz (Geneve, SUI). Michel responded with a 11-1 win over Switzerland's Stefan Haesler. Michel won 6-2 against Switzerland's Marc Pfister, then won 7-4 against Switzerland's Bernhard Werthemann. Michel went on to lose 5-2 against Freiberger. Michel responded with a 4-3 win over Freiberger. Michel won 5-4 against de Cruz, then won 6-3 against Switzerland's Stefan Haesler and 3-2 against Switzerland's Marc Pfister. Michel won 6-2 against Switzerland's Bernhard Werthemann in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Swiss Curling League Finals Championship title, Michel earned 8.000 world rankings points, remaining in 14th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 156.748 total points. Michel ranks 14th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 69.733 points earned so far this season.
