Gray responded with a 4-3 win over David Edwards (Aberdeen, SCO). Gray won 9-6 against Grant Hardie (Dumfries, SCO), then won 7-4 against Brewster and 7-2 against Glen Muirhead (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Co-operative Funeralcare Scottish Men's, Gray take home 5.850 world rankings points, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 50th place overall with 37.466 total points. Gray ranks 100th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.030 points earned so far this season.
