In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Laruen Baxter (Greenacres, SCO) 11-1, then won 7-1 against Fleming and 7-6 against Jennifer Martin (Kilmarnock, SCO). Muirhead won 10-3 against Jackie Lockhart (Aberdeen, SCO), then won 8-3 against Gail Munro (Stranraer, SCO) and 9-3 against Kerry Barr (Edinburgh, SCO). Muirhead won 9-1 against Gina Aitken (Edinburgh, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Co-operative Funeralcare Scottish Women's Championship title, Muirhead earned 4.000 world rankings points, remaining in 6th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 217.396 total points.
