To advance to the championship game, Elias won 9-8 over Dennis Bohn (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2013 Deer Lodge Cash Spiel in Winnipeg, Manitoba; and won 9-5 over Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Elias finished 3-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Elias defeated Rob Atkins (Winnipeg, MB) 5-3, then won 6-5 against Jared Kolomaya (Stonewall, MB) and 8-4 against William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
