Birchard won 7-2 against Steffan Adamchuk (Swan River, MB), then won 6-2 against Curtis Kaatz (Dugald, MB) and 7-5 against Dunstone. Birchard won 5-4 against Colin Kurz (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
