Kaatz won 6-3 against Abby Ackland (Victoria Beach, MB), then won 8-5 against Christine MacKay (Winnipeg, MB). Kaatz went on to lose 7-5 against Beth Peterson (Victoria Beach, MB). Kaatz responded with a 8-3 win over Rachel Burtnyk (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
