Ryan McMakin (Laurel, MD) lost 12-5 to Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA) in the Final of the GNCC Junior Mens Playdowns, held December 26 - 30, 2012 in Laurel, Maryland.
 
McMakin finished 4-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McMakin defeated Eli Clawson (Laurel, MD) 14-4, then won 14-3 against Tyler Oliver (Philadelphia, PA) and 13-8 against Jeremy Unterborn (Rochester, NY). McMakin won 12-3 against Kent Suslavich (Bridgeport, CT) in their final qualifying round match.
