Barb Spencer (Winnipeg, MB) won 7-3 over Janet Harvey (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the MCT Championships, held December 6 - 9, 2012 in Beausejour, Manitoba. To advance to the championship game, Spencer won 9-3 over Kim Link (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2012 MCT Championships in Beausejour, Manitoba; and won 7-6 over Michelle Montford (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 MCT Championships in Beausejour, Manitoba;
 
Spencer finished 2-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Spencer defeated Montford 6-4, then went on to lose 8-6 against Harvey. Spencer responded with a 8-1 win over Colleen Kilgallen (Pinawa, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the MCT Championships Championship title, Spencer earned 4.500 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 26th place overall with 56.729 total points. Spencer ranks 27th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 29.100 points earned so far this season.
