To advance to the championship game, Turcotte won 8-2 over Donald Dumont (Falher, AB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Fort St. John Challenge in Fort St. John, British Columbia; and won 6-4 over Bob Cooper (Fort St. John, BC) in the quarterfinals.
Turcotte finished 3-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Turcotte defeated Courtney Rossing (Grande Prairie, AB) 5-0, then won 6-2 against Henricks and 9-6 against Karen Powell (Grande Prairie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
