Suzanne Birt (Charlottetown, PEI) run at the 2012 Lady Monctonian Invitational came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-6 loss to Theresa Breen (Halifax, NS). of the 2012 Lady Monctonian Invitational in Moncton, New Brunswick; Birt advanced through the quarterfinals with a 9-1 win over Mary Jane McGuire (Fredericton, NB). of the 2012 Lady Monctonian Invitational in Moncton, New Brunswick;

Birt finished 3-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Birt lost 10-6 to Tanya Hilliard (Halifax, NS), then responded with a 5-3 win over Jocelyn Nix (Halifax, NS). Birt won 7-2 against Sarah Rhyno (Halifax, NS). Birt went on to lose 8-5 against Sandy Comeau (Moncton, NB). Birt responded with a 6-4 win over Kelly MacIntosh (Dartmouth, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

Birt earned 1.250 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Lady Monctonian Invitational, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 36th place overall with 30.681 total points. Birt ranks 62nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.175 points earned so far this season.
