Keith finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Keith defeated Jon Rennie (Calgary, AB) 6-3, then went on to lose 8-5 against Wade White (Edmonton, AB). Keith responded with a 6-5 win over Randy Detillieux (Spruce Grove, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
