Matt Stevens (bemidji, MN) qualified for the 2012 Bernick's Miller Lite Open playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-3 against Mike McCarville (Thunder Bay, ON). of the 2012 Bernick's Miller Lite Open in Bemidji, Minnesota;

Stevens finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stevens defeated McCarville 6-2, then went on to lose 8-0 against Minnesota's Todd Birr. Stevens responded with a 7-5 win over Ryan Berg (West Fargo, ND). Stevens won 4-3 against Allison Pottinger (Bemidji, MN), then won 8-5 against Andy Borland (Hibbing, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

Stevens earned 1.050 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Bernick's Miller Lite Open, moving up 354 spots the World Ranking Standings into 270th place overall with 1.050 total points. Stevens ranks 144th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.050 points earned so far this season.
