Lemay won 5-4 against Jean-Francois Royer (Montreal, PQ), then won 7-2 against Pierre Gervais (Trois-Rivieres, PQ). Lemay went on to lose 6-5 against Menard. Lemay responded with a 9-8 win over Martin Ferland (Quebec, PQ). Lemay won 7-3 against Steeve Gagnon (Rosemere, PQ). Lemay went on to lose 8-7 against Robert Desjardins (Chicoutimi, PQ) in their final qualifying round match.
