Marla Mallett (Surrey, BC) finished 7-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mallett defeated Marilou Richter (New Westminster, BC) 7-6, then went on to lose 9-8 against Allison MacInnes (Abbotsford, BC). Mallett responded with a 6-4 win over Simone Brosseau (Victoria, BC). Mallett won 9-3 against Roberta Kuhn (Vernon, BC). Mallett went on to lose 7-6 against Patti Knezevic (Prince George, BC). Mallett responded with a 8-5 win over Lori Olsen (New Westminster, BC). Mallett won 7-6 against Simone Groundwater (Williams Lake, BC), then won 8-4 against Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC) and 7-3 against Kirsten Fox (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Mallett earned 2.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the BC Scotties . For week 24 of the event schedule, Mallett did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Mallett ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
