Barb Spencer (Winnipeg, MB) lost 7-3 to Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Manitoba Scotties, held January 23 - 27, 2013 in Stonewall, Manitoba.

Spencer finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Spencer defeated Deb McCreanor (La Salle, MB) 10-4, then won 9-4 against Liza Park (Brandon, MB) and 9-2 against Kate Cameron (Stonewall, MB). Spencer won 9-1 against Charlene Norquay (Thompson, MB), then won 11-9 against Janet Harvey (Winnipeg, MB). Spencer went on to lose 8-5 against Jones. Spencer responded with a 10-0 win over Michelle Montford (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Manitoba Scotties, Spencer take home 9.250 world rankings points, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 26th place overall with 65.979 total points. Spencer ranks 24th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 38.350 points earned so far this season.
