Hannah Fleming (Perth, SCO) lost 6-5 to Alina Kovaleva (Moscow, RUS) in the Final of the World Junior Curling Championships, held February 28 - March 10, 2013 in Sochi, Russia.
 
Fleming finished 8-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fleming defeated Miranda Solem (Duluth, USA) 9-7, then won 7-4 against Kovaleva and 3-2 against Corryn Brown (Kamloops, CAN). Fleming won 9-5 against Sara McManus (Harnosand, SWE), then won 8-7 against Zuzana Hajkova (Praha, CZE) and 9-3 against Kristine Davanger (Oslo, NOR). Fleming won 7-3 against Stephanie Nielsen (Hvidovre, DEN), then won 7-2 against Switzerland's Michelle Gribi. Fleming went on to lose 8-5 against Sayaka Yoshimura (Aomori, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
