Homan won 9-8 against Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC), then won 7-5 against New Brunswick's Andrea Crawford and 8-4 against Allisson Ross (Dollard Des Ormeaux, PQ). Homan won 8-2 against Jill Shumay (Maidstone, SK). Homan went on to lose 9-7 against Jones. Homan responded with a 6-5 win over Mary-Anne Arsenault (Halifax, NS). Homan won 10-2 against Suzanne Birt (Charlottetown, PEI), then won 6-5 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, CAN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Scotties Tournament of Hearts Championship title, Homan earned 45.000 world rankings points. Homan move up 5 spots after posting a net gain of 43.589 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 5th overall with 228.595 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
