Martin went on to lose 8-1 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). Martin lost 6-5 to James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) where Martin responded with a 9-3 win over Paul Flemming (Lower Sackville, NS). Martin won 8-3 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT), then won 7-2 against Eddie MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI) and 6-5 against Brock Virtue (Regina, SK). Martin won 6-5 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL), then won 6-5 against Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Martin earned 14.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 30 of the event schedule, Martin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Martin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
