To advance to the championship game, Fenson won 8-2 over Ethan Meyers (Duluth, MN) in the semifinals of the 2012 Madison Cash Spiel in McFarland, Wisconsin, United States; and won 4-3 over Alexander Attinger (Dübendorf, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Madison Cash Spiel in McFarland, Wisconsin, United States;
 
Fenson finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fenson defeated Jim Milosevich (St Paul, MN) 6-4, then won 4-2 against Attinger and 5-3 against Ryan Lemke (Medford, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Madison Cash Spiel Championship title, Fenson earned 5.750 world rankings points along with the $2,984CDN first prize cheque. For week 16 of the event schedule, Fenson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Fenson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
