Tuson won 7-6 against British Columbia's Jody Epp. Tuson went on to lose 7-4 against Neil Dangerfield (Victoria, BC). Tuson lost 8-4 to Jason Montgomery (Duncan, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Tuson earned 0.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 295 spots the World Ranking Standings into 352nd place overall with 0.250 total points. Tuson ranks 220th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.250 points earned so far this season.
