Dangerfield finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dangerfield defeated Wood 5-4, then won 6-2 against Wes Craig (Victoria, BC). Dangerfield went on to lose 8-1 against Wakefield. Dangerfield responded with a 7-4 win over Jay Tuson (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Vancouver Island Shootout, Dangerfield take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN prize, moving up 27 spots the World Ranking Standings into 140th place overall with 6.675 total points.
