Julie Hastings (Thornhill, ON) won 7-2 over Shawnessy Johnson (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel, held October 12 - 14, 2012 at the Stroud Curling Club in Innisfil, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Hastings won 6-4 over Katie Lindsay (Welland, ON) in the semifinals

Hastings finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hastings defeated Stephanie Van Huyse (Whitby, ON) 7-2, then won 7-6 against Ontario's Heather Graham and 6-3 against Kendra Lilly (Sudbury, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel Championship title, Hastings earned 0.000 world rankings points along with the $800CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Hastings did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hastings ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
