Leon Romaniuk (Seattle, WA) qualified for the 2012 Cloverdale Cash Spiel playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-1 against Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC). of the 2012 Cloverdale Cash Spiel in Surrey, British Columbia;

Romaniuk finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Romaniuk defeated British Columbia's Richard Brower 9-4, then went on to lose 5-2 against Andrew Bilesky (Vancouver , BC). Romaniuk responded with a 6-4 win over Ken McArdle (New Westminster, BC). Romaniuk went on to lose 6-5 against British Columbia's Lainglais in their final qualifying round match.

Romaniuk earned 1.250 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Cloverdale Cash Spiel, moving up 21 spots the World Ranking Standings into 150th place overall with 4.281 total points. Romaniuk ranks 54th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.250 points earned so far this season.
