Uusipaavalniemi responded with a 10-5 win over Finland's Kalle Kiiskinen. Uusipaavalniemi won 5-4 against Finland's Tomi Rantamaki. Uusipaavalniemi went on to lose 9-2 against Finland's Aku Kauste in their final qualifying round match.
