Nimik finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nimik defeated Gabrielle Coleman (San Francisco, CA) 6-2, then won 8-4 against Chantal Lalonde (London, ON). Nimik went on to lose 4-1 against Homan. Nimik responded with a 9-3 win over Marie-France Larouche (Levis, PQ) in their final qualifying round match.
