To advance to the championship game, Middaugh won 9-6 over Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC) in the semifinals of the 2012 Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic in Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-4 over Laura Crocker (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic in Calgary, Alberta, Canada;
 
Middaugh finished 4-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Middaugh defeated Kerry Galusha (Yellowknife, NT) 10-2, then won 9-4 against Tracy Horgan (Sudbury, ON) and 5-4 against Chelsea Carey (Winnipeg, MB). Middaugh won 6-5 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic Championship title, Middaugh earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $14,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 2nd place overall with 215.410 total points. Middaugh ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 77.835 points earned so far this season.
