King finished 3-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, King defeated Scott Egger (Brooks, AB) 8-3, then won 6-5 against Joel Jordison (Moose Jaw, SK) and 6-5 against Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Wainwright Roaming Buffalo Classic, King take home 8.925 world rankings points along with the $9,000CDN prize, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 39th place overall with 43.063 total points. King ranks 26th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 32.620 points earned so far this season.
