Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK) qualified for the 2012 Horizon Laser Vision Center Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-2 against Scott Bitz (Regina, SK).

Jacobson finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobson lost 8-1 to William Coutts (Regina, SK), then responded with a 5-2 win over Scott Manners (North Battleford, SK). Jacobson went on to lose 4-3 against Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN). Jacobson responded with a 5-1 win over Matt Willerton (Edmonton, AB). Jacobson won 9-0 against Clint Krismer (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Jacobson earned 1.950 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Horizon Laser Vision Center Classic, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 51st place overall with 23.162 total points. Jacobson ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.950 points earned so far this season.
