Jill Mouzar (Toronto, ON) finished 1-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouzar lost 7-1 to Allison Ross (Montreal, PQ), then responded with a 6-2 win over Ginger Coyle (Dundas, ON). Mouzar went on to lose 6-3 against Cathy Auld (Mississauga, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
