Cathy Auld (Mississauga, ON) run at the 2012 OCT Championships came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-2 loss to Ontario's Sherry Middaugh. of the 2012 OCT Championships in Oakville, Ontario; Auld advanced through the quarterfinals with a 9-3 win over Allison Nimik (Listowel, ON).

Auld finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Auld defeated Chrissy Cadorin (Toronto, ON) 5-4, then won 6-3 against Julie Reddick (Toronto, ON) and 6-2 against Kelly Cochrane (Toronto, ON). Auld won 7-5 against Brit O'Neill (Hamilton, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Auld earned 4.700 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the OCT Championships, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 32nd place overall with 27.775 total points. Auld ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.700 points earned so far this season.
