In their opening game, Charette lost 6-1 to Mark Dacey (Halifax, NS), droppimg another game, 7-3 to Craig Brown (Madison, WI) where Charette responded with a 7-2 win over Brent Ross (Harriston, ON). Charette went on to lose 7-5 against Wayne Tuck Jr. (Brantford, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
