Koe finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Saskatchewan's Scott Bitz 5-3, then won 7-1 against Tom Appelman (Edmonton, AB) and 7-3 against McEwen in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Cactus Pheasant Classic Championship title, Koe earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $22,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 4th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 294.015 total points. Koe ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 135.055 points earned so far this season.
