Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) won 6-5 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Cactus Pheasant Classic, held October 25 - 28, 2012 in Brooks, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Koe won 5-4 over Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Cactus Pheasant Classic in Brooks, Alberta; and won 5-3 over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Cactus Pheasant Classic in Brooks, Alberta;

Koe finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Saskatchewan's Scott Bitz 5-3, then won 7-1 against Tom Appelman (Edmonton, AB) and 7-3 against McEwen in their final qualifying round match.
